Next time you’re at the Auction House, check the price of Deviate Fish and Savory Deviate Delight. A quick check of WoWEcon.com shows that the fish are averaging 35s each, and the Delight (cooked fish) is going for 50s each.
The important thing to note is that low-level toons can catch these fish. They are found in the Barrens. Easy enough if you’re horde. If you’re alliance, you might need some help getting there. But imagine a low-level toon spending an evening fishing and stacking up 40 or so of these things. Very few level 10 toons are running around with that much gold.
For any level, if you have the recipe, it’s a simple matter of buying out the supplies for 35s each, cooking them, and relisting them for 50s each. (Ok…you need Mild Spices, too, but those are cheap). Heck…if you buy them all out, try listing them higher.

If your an alchemist/Herbalist buy or find the recipe for elixer of giant growth, then hunt down some earthroot while you are in the barrens. All you need is one earthroot, one deviate, and a glass vial to make elixer of giant growth which are far more practical, and sell far better than Deviate Delights.

On Coilfang some asshole started selling stacks of deviate delights for 10 when they sold fine at 20

wow really, someone on my server (demon soul) started selling stacks of deviate fish for 25g a stack, which is great for me… and its all from one guy, so theres either a lack of deviate fishers, or someone is monopolizing that market. which by the way is an other way to make money, it just makes people hate you.
and the delights sell for at least 45 g a stack so it pays for itself to buy the recipe, world drop which also is being sold for 125g for 1. i fully twinked out a 19 hunter, enchants and all, using this method.

That is extremely cheap! In some servers the delight’s are 1g and the not cooked ones 50s each.

On Eonar I can sell a stack of 20 Deviates for 110 G…
