Most professions are only truly profitable at their max level. Sometimes you want an alt character to have a good profession but can’t drop the one on your main. For example, if you’re a Mage, you probably want to be a Tailor for the bind-on-pickup crafted epic items. So that takes up one of your main professions. Let’s assume that Herbalism was your second main profession. Now you have no room for Alchemy, and you really want Alchemy so you can make your own Flasks. So, you level an alt but don’t want to spend a ton of time grinding up the Alchemy profession.
You need a guide that will spell out every detail that will help you get to the max level the fastest, and cheapest as possible.
Penn’s Profession Leveling Guide is the most complete, detailed guide available. It spells out exactly what to do in what order, provides maps, etc. And it’s guaranteed to be updated for Wrath of the Lich King when it’s released.

My character is a 52 Night Elf Hunter on Garona. His enginnering is around the 200′s I think. Do you have any tips on how I could make money this way? Because ‘ve noticed that people usally only buy things from people with full professions. :’(
