What is true is that you can make SOME gold, if you know what you’re doing, but you’re NOT going to make a lot of gold this way. I’ve seen guides dedicated almost entirely to lists of vendors, and what they sell. Depending on how developed your server realm is, most people know where to get the recipes they need. Yes, some people will rather pay 5g at the AH than take the time to travel to Tanaris to buy a recipe for 2g, so you CAN profit by doing it. But I look at selling recipes like finding a penny in a parking lot…I’ll still pick it up, but I don’t go running around in parking lots just looking for pennies. If I’m near a vendor, or buying from a vendor, that sells certain recipes or limited numbers of recipes, I might buy one to resell. I’m not going to make that my primary gold-making strategy, though.
Of course you’ll make some gold if you get a rarely dropped recipe. But the tactic, that many guides push, about going to vendors to buy recipes to resell is old and tired, and more importantly, ineffective.
FACT #3 – You can make SOME gold, but not very much. The GPH rate is too low to make it a primary strategy.

Recepies CAN be a good way of making a living (in wow)
the place i go for doing this easy money making trick is the lake west of everlook in winterspring (70 or higher is best) there there are ghost who drops the icy chill formula (enchanting) and they sell for roughly 20 gold a piece and whit 10 drops and hour that equals to 200/hour
plus if your lucky princess tempestria just spawned, that will give 30 gold bonus if u take her down (if the frozen lake is filled whit elementas.. shes there) by the way she drops a blue leatherworking pattern that i dont recall the name of at the moment.
and that my friends is how to make some easy wow gold whitout so much work.

I made a good amount of gold in terms of %’s by doing that. Its great for a really low level player trying to double or triple their gold in a single run. True after 2 days of doing this you are going to have already sold to nearly every twink who HAS to have EVERY recipe and missed the one you found.
I would still recommend this to a non gatherer to get your bankroll from 10g to 40g with 20 minutes of your time.

here is a way to make gold fast, if ou got some capital gold allready you can use it to make way more.
depening on the realm your at. but sevral realms are like this.
Here is an example
This is only usefull with enchanters with level 375 or higher, go to the Auction House, look up Small Prismatic shards check the pice out,
then search for Large prismatic shards check the price on that, On my server Large prismatic shards are 5 Gold each, Also on my server Small prismatic shards are 3 Gold Each. if this is so on your server or similar, buy out 50 large prismatic shards, and if your en enchanter you can turn 1 large prismatic shard into 3 small prismatic shards and then sell them for 3 gold each,
and you only paid 5 gold for 3 of them do the math you profited 3 gold each shard.. with a total profit of 150 gold and only using 250 of your gold to get it started.
Every day i buy 100 Large prismatic shards and turn them into 300 small rpismatic shards making 900 gold profit.
On top of that then i do all my daily quets making roughly 400 gold just in the pay off for doing the quest not to mention maing another 300 gold disenchatning the drops i collect doing my daily quests.
then i take 2 hours and go mine saronite, and make another 400 gold a day in that.
so roughly every day i play i make roughly 2,000 gold a day. and that is with hardly any effort i spend about 4 to 6 hours online and make that.
Enchanting and mining is a great way to earn gold, might not work for you , but it works for me.

I cosider this to be a fact, not a myth. I guess it depends on what you consider a ton of gold to be. As a new player I make a few hundered gold a day doing this while I adventure, so the time investment is almost nothing.
